Stephen Sondheims A FUNNY THING HAPPENED
ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM starred the irrepressible Chef Wan
and a cast of seventeen in his first English language theatre production.
Despite competition from the heavily promoted mega-musical Fame,
the show drew favourable reviews for British musical director, Simon
Grey, and his excellent work with the nine-piece orchestra. Sponsors
included Akademi Seni Kebangsaan, The Malaysian Tourism Centre, Technics,
and The
Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur.
